Homework Policy

Our team is very project based.  We believe that projects allow students to make deeper connections among ideas as compared to experiencing information through a series of isolated assignments.  We plan adequate time for students to complete work.  Please help them manage their time wisely so they are not completing a three week project the night before it is due! Due dates, project descriptions and rubrics will be available on this website under assignments.

We try to provide work time in class.  We value time with our families and believe our students should also have time for family.  Therefore, we do not usually assign homework over a weekend.

If your child seems to have a lot of homework, question if your child is using their time wisely in class.  If your child is struggling with completing an assignment because of frustration, please don't hesitate to call in the morning to let us know.  We don't want huge family feuds over homework.  We do expect in this situation that students see us for help either before school, during lunch or after school so that we can help them.
